Indonesian Quran Learners Compete on Memorization, Tarteel Recitation

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran competition was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on memorization and Tarteel recitation.

 

The Jakarta branch of the Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the Astan of Imam Hussain (AS) holy shrine held the contest, the website of the Astan reported.

It was the third annual competition held by the center in the Southeast Asian country.

Mohammad Baqer al-Mansouri, an official with the Astan, said that the Quran learners of the Jakarta branch as well as branches in three other cities of Indonesia took part in the Quranic event.

He said the Jakarta Quran learners attended the contest in person and those in other cities via Zoom.

On the sidelines of the competition, a seminar was held featuring speeches on the sublime morality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the need for following his Seerah.

The Dar-ol-Quran Center organizes various Quranic programs in Iraq and other countries with the aim of promoting Quran sciences and training Quran memorizers and reciters.
